GREASE TRAP
Goodwin Grease Trap Services provides great value for scheduled and emergency grease trap / grease interceptor cleaning in greater Western Colorado Area. Regular cleanings help prevent costly clogging and over flowing of FOGS (Fats, Oils, Grease, and Solids devices and keeping your business up and running.
Even though many people refer to grease traps and grease interceptors as the same thing, more technically, grease traps refer to the system inside usually underneath the sinks. Grease interceptors usually refer to the unit that is located outside and generally has one to three manholes (or more) for access. For simplicity, when speaking about both (grease traps & grease interceptors), we will use the term grease trap.
We provide services in the Western Colorado Area, for indoor grease traps and outdoor grease interceptors – no matter how big or how small. We even have equipment for hard to reach or difficult to access grease traps. As a general rule of thumb, small traps inside should be maintained and cleaned MONTHLY to prevent clogging of the drain system and grease trap. We hear many potential clients say to us that they don’t use a lot of grease and therefore they don’t have a need for that frequent of a service. However, grease is not the only underlying reason to have your grease trap cleaned. Since the wastewater from the sinks should flow into the grease trap, think of all the solids that get washed off at the sinks and become “trapped” inside the grease trap. Our Cleaning recommendation but at a minimum we strongly suggest having your grease trap cleaned QUARTERLY.
Larger grease traps or grease interceptors that are generally found outside, we recommend to have the grease interceptor cleaned QUARTERLY – four times a year or more depending on you requirements with your local waste water treatment plant. By maintaining a routine schedule of having the interceptor cleaned out, this will prevent back ups and expensive emergency calls or pump outs.
